Why I started making jewellery
So, it all began at a Summer work do. Drinks flowing, food in the form of dirty filthy bbq things and some light entertainment.
One such entertainer was a Henna artist. Her work was impressive. So much so that I asked her to hennafy a design I crudely scribbled on a torn off beer bottle label.
She reluctantly accepted my offering with thumb and forefinger like it was a used nappy but I took it as a win and off I went for another beer.

Before I could open said beer, I was presented with the design and it looked great. “That’s the one,” I said and she set about decorating my hand with lightning speed and accuracy.

Here is a pic of the end result!
It was the moment I saw my wife’s reaction to seeing the design on my hand that the seed was sown.
What if.. I turned this design into a piece of jewellery?
I spent the rest of the evening between catch up chats, home made pizza and of course drinking to quietly consider the idea.

Home made pizza courtesy of the company directors. I know it’s only pizza but it tasted incredible.
The next day, all I could think about was how I could make this piece of jewellery.
Let the journey begin
